Nursery & Early Childhood Room Sunday Mornings During Worship and Christian Education
 WELCOME!
We believe your child is a special gift from God – so we want to provide the best love and care possible. Please label your child’s diaper bag and bottle, complete the sign-in sheet and sign out a pager.
We provide loving care during the worship service, as well as during the Christian Education hour. It helps avoid confusion if you indicate which sessions your child will attend. While we welcome parents to visit at anytime, please remember that it is easier on your child if you do not check on him or her between worship and CE. (No child should have to endure two separations in one morning.)
All children cry sometimes when being left by parents. We understand and expect it. In most cases, crying stops a few moments after you leave. (Yes, it’s a plot to make you feel guilty.) If your child continues to cry after five or ten minutes, we will page you.
SIGNING IN AND PICKING UP YOUR CHILD
First time visitor? Please ask for a pager, regardless of which room your child attends!
If your child will be visiting our Early Childhood room, you and your child will be issued yellow bracelets that have matching numbers. The parent who plans to pick the child up should be the parent who puts the bracelet on. For safety reasons, we will not release your child to anyone not having the matching bracelet.   The ID number on the bracelet is to be noted on the sign-in sheet.
If your child is visiting the Nursery, please sign your little one in, attach a diaper bag tag (ask for one if you need one!), and hand the child over the door. Grab a pager, being sure to note the pager number on the sign-in sheet. Your child will only be released to the parent(s) listed on the sign-in sheet.
**Parents, please do not send older siblings to pick up your children from the Nursery or Early Childhood room. While our volunteers lovingly nurture your Nursery aged children, they may not know your older children!
ILLNESS GUIDELINES
For the health of all (and the peace of mind of every parent), children with the following symptoms of illness should not be brought to the Nursery:
  • ·         Fever, vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
  • ·         Runny nose (anything but clear)
  • ·         Rash or open sores
If your child develops a fever or other illness symptoms, you will be paged to pick up your child immediately.
No medication will be given to any child in the Nursery Department.

FOOD
Please note on the Nursery sign-in sheet if your child is to be given a bottle during Worship or CE. While we are happy to warm a bottle, we cannot feed your baby food other than what you bring in a bottle.
Our Early Childhood room will provide a snack (Ritz Crackers and water) during the CE hour. Water will be available anytime a child asks for it. Due to allergy concerns, please do not send food or drinks (other than formula bottles) into the Nursery or Early Childhood rooms.

WHAT WE DO WHILE YOU WORSHIP
We provide a safe, loving, fun and comfortable environment for both you and your child. We walk, rock, read, feed and play with your children. The Nursery plays Bible songs on CD.
The Early Childhood room offers simple, Bible based activities such as coloring and story reading. Parent Pages will be sent home the first Sunday of each month, letting you know what theme we will be exploring that month.
