We believe that we live in a broken world, where people suffer and injustice is part of every society and government. We believe that we are a broken people, weighted down by our sin and in active rebellion against God and each other. In ourselves, there is no hope to solve these problems.

But there is hope! The good news is that God, the creator of all mankind, has sent his Son, Jesus, into the world to bring us to God. By His life example, he has showed us what God requires. By His death on the cross, He has paid the penalty that we rightfully deserve. By His coming back from the grave, He has demonstrated that death itself has been defeated.

By our declaration of our faith in Jesus, we are freed from our slavery to sin and death. We are able to desire and seek what is good. While we still retain old habits and struggle against addictions and failings, we now, however imperfectly, wish to destroy the old sin in ourselves and come closer to Him. We know that one day we will be with Him, clean of sin and rejoicing eternally.
