• Provides transportation for those with Medical Assistance/HealthChoice to and from medical appointments for those who have no other means of transportation.

Chores and More

• A free service in the Broadneck community for those requiring short-term assistance. They have volunteers who can drive people to go grocery shopping or to appointments. They can help with chores around the home for those needing assistance.

Handy Cab (Handy Cab information is at the bottom of the MD DoD page)

• This program provides coupons for discounted taxicab service within the county to persons 55 years and over or  for those who are 18 and over with disabilities.

Maryland Department of Disabilities Transportation

• Provides a number of links and phone numbers for those requiring transportation. There are services that are not necessarily for those with disabilities, such as MTA discounts and bus schedules.

Vehicles for Change

• Provides low-cost, used cars for families to be able to get work. Cars are donated by individuals, are cleaned up and then sold at a low cost (average $1000) to needy individuals. Individuals are screened by income and employment requirements.

Broadneck EP Deacon’s Car Clinic

• This service helps single women maintain their cars. The volunteers will check the car’s condition and replace the air filter (provided by the woman). They will recommend further maintenance if needed. It is performed twice per year. Call the church for details about the next clinic.
